Who is the villain in Animal Crossing?
For years, Tom Nook has been dogged by his unsavory reputation. Nook, an anthropomorphic tanuki who lords over every Animal Crossing save file, has been labeled a villain, a nefarious bandit and a real estate robber baron, among many other more colorful titles.
Rather than being a capitalist, Nook invests or just simply gives away. Those who are truly greedy would find his actions to be an irresponsible nightmare that puts power in the hands of the buyer rather than the actual landowner.
If Tom Nook's dream home consists of hoarding his gold alongside useless golden objects, he undoubtedly proves his conquest for Bells is driven by greed and the exploitation of innocent Villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Redd (In Japanese: つねきち, Tsunekichi), also known as Crazy Redd or Jolly Redd, is the closest thing to a villainous character in the Animal Crossing series. He is a kitsune (or fox outside Japan) who makes a living by scamming people into buying fake artworks and overpriced furniture.
The general gist of it is that Nook and Redd were business partners and lovers in the past. But Redd's unsavoury actions and ways caused a rift to occur between the two of them, leading to a messy, bitter divorce that has rocked the world ever since. It's sad, truly.
Timmy Nook is Tom Nook's nephew, and Tommy Nook's brother.
